Does anyone have any comments on upgrading the PA's rudder. It doesn't seem all that much bigger but it is pretty cheap. Big difference or meh?

I upgraded my 2013 PA-14 with the larger rudder back in Jan 2014......it does make a small improvement in tracking, while down rigging.
Over all I would do it again as the cost is very reasonable for the slightly larger rudder.

Keep in mind, it does hang down about 1.5" past the bottom of the hull when retracted, so if you normally stand the PA up on the rear skids, you could damage the rudder assembly.

I carry my PA-14 on a Hobie Trailex trailer, so no worry's about the "deeper rudder" extending past the hull.
