I'm getting a 2016 PA 14 and have 2 questions:

- The dealer is 'converting' the 2016 PA 14 to a 2017 by swapping in a Mirage180 Turbo drive and adding a 2nd rudder handle. Are there any other features that are new with the 17? I know the turbo fins only come with the camo...

- The dealer's telling me I can store the PA on the Yakima Rack and Roll trailer I'm getting in my garage, with just some foam bar pads on the Yakima crossbars. Any thoughts on that? The manual says not to store on crossbars, and I see lots of people using cradles/PVC/etc.

Pro Angler series kayaks come standard with turbo fins. You might be thinking of the Outback, which comes with st fins unless you've purchased a camo Outback that comes standard with turbos.

The 2017 model year Pro Anglers come with dual steering handles on risers that put the handles in a more comfortable position for most users.

As for storage options, I'd recommend the Hobie Cradles and I would stay away from PVC as it's not recommended.

The 2016 didnt come with the md 180 though. I dont think there is any difference ina 16 and 17 other than the md 180 and the dual steering.

You should be fine storing on pvc so long as the pvc is only attached on each end. This allows the pvc to sag in the middle. This is hw i keep mine and dont have any denting.
