I have a 2014 PA 14 that I put on top of my SUV for transport. I don’t have immediate access to store it while at my condo so I leave it on my racks for a few days max and then bring it back to the garage about half hour away. I know this may not be the best for the hull but haven’t seen problems yet. I would like to cover the kayak in between uses to protect it from UV damage, is the Hobie cover easy to install on a kayak already secured on a roof rack?

Thanks a ton!
Tim

The cover is easy to install.

We would not recommend transport with the cover on. Too much unsupported canvas area that flaps in the breeze at highway speeds.

Sounds good! I will take the cover off before traveling. It also looked like the cover didn't cover the handles on bow and stern, and my handles are getting crumbly already, are there grip replacements available for both handles?

Thanks Matt!
