BTW, we soap tested the boat and a couple of our "drill n' fill" holes bubbled, but the vast majority fo the leak was from the pylons...like 90% of the leaks infact. So, problem solved! thanks everyone.

Speaking of how to sinking a Laser....about 4 years ago I was sailing my Laser one summer day and it was really blow'n.I was on a screaming reach when the wooden mast step support thingy came unglued and that mast went sideways tearing through the deck from port to starboard like a hot knife through butter.I never seen it happen. One second I was hiked out and the next I was in the water looking at my main sail and mast laying flat on the water beside the boat thinking "that doesn't look good".
Luckly my floatation bag still worked.Sold the boat for $150. and bought a H16 :D

Hey Robbor, I see you're from Ottawa...are there any regattas or meets or anything for H16's in O-town you know of? we would love to meet up with some "local" hobie people next summer!

Not that I know of.I don't follow the racing scene much since I have an old boat with a non-comp tip mast.
I want to trailer down to Sandbanks this Sept. if I can convince my neighbour to come as crew.He also has a 16,but his trailer isn't road worthy.
I'd love to get a bunch of E.Ont. Hobies together next summer at a central location for all. That would be cool.
Later...
