I'd like to request that everyone check their 'User Control Panel' under 'Edit Profile' and please put in an entry- even if imaginary but better if real- under 'Location'.

Some may have reasons for not disclosing this information- hiding from bill collectors, police, etc. but it doesn't have to be down to street level address- just a state in USA would be helpful.

Often, I hear someone mention 'Green Lake', etc. and would like to find out where that is. There are probably 20 of them in the US!

Also, when someone says, "The bay is down to 50 deg..." it would be nice to know if that's like Chesapeake or San Fran Bay !

Where I live and where I sail are very different locations, so Central Maryland suffices.

I agree, I wish everyone would enter their location, at least general region or country.

How many times do you read a post about sailing/kayaking off the East coast or something and wonder 'are they talking about the U.S. or Australia?'

That's funny. No I wasn't being sarcastic because I know I entered my location in the past. Maybe it got lost in the last forum upgrade. Oops!
