Late afternoon here in Connecticut. Question I have regards rudder assembly for a Hobie Holder 12. There is a shock cord which comes out of the tiller. Where does it attach on the rudder assembly. This boat was given to my son in fairly poor condition, but we have restored it, so that it sails quite nicely. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks..podamus1 in Connecticut

Perhaps on older models, but more recent... still a long time ago... the rudder used a spring to hold the rudder down (attached to the tiller arm).

The bungee would be from the tiller arm just ahead to the rod attachment, down to the side plate (rudder cheek plate). That holds the tiller down, which holds the rudder down.
