Starting to sail Tacticat is a matter of 10 minutes.

You don't have the helm. You are only giving orders to a skipper who performs as a master.

Just press space bar: the skipper will drive the boat according to telltales and either close-hauled or in a broad reach.

Press ENTER, the boat will tack or gybe.

The commonest errors are those beginners make sailing a cat the first time:
- They go up, up, up and end in irons. Boat stopped and requiring some recovery to get in speed.
- They try to tack when they are stopped or very slow: into irons again...
- They run, with the wind, and they go slow.

Dont do those errors and thats all you have to know. Once these few concepts clear you can concentrate in wind shifts, boat-to-boat fight, start timing...

Simple, isnt it?.
