I have a hard time using the spi on my FX One in moderate winds.
Using one hand to steer and the other to control the sheet of the spi I am exhausted after 10 to 15 minutes (but the ride is awesome!)
Who has a practical solution or experience in making this more comfortable w/o adding a cleat? Additional ratchets, using a 2 to 1 sheet, ...?
Suggestions are highly appreciated!

Get (2) 40mm carbo blocks and attach to front crossbar, towards the outside. thead the spin sheet from the rachet block up to the crossbar across to the carbo on the other side and down to the other rachet and up to the spin. This puts tension on the rachet blocks all the time, taking minimum effort in all I can handle with the chute up.

I do exactly as Jim said. I use the ratchet 40mm carbo blocks on the forward crossbar. I just did a 14 mile broad reach to Moss Landing from Santa Cruz. My right arm hurts, but not as bad as if I didn't have the ratchet blocks.
