Eight Men and a Duck

The story of guys who build a 65' sailboat out of reeds and sail it from the coast of Chile to Easter Island.

Gripping, and funny. I enjoyed the heck out of it!

Hey Jamie, haven't heard from you in a while!

Just out of curiosity, is that the Thor Heiderdall (sp?) gang (the guys who built and sailed the Kon Tiki)?

Hey man; I know I haven't been around much. Busier these days. Not so much sailing, unfortunately. 'Course there hasn't been more than 5-10mph of wind in over a month except during storms, so my motivation to go to the lake has been drastically diminished, also.

No, it's not Thor, although these guys looked to him as a role model for their trip.
