Please advise on the correct attachment location of the lower boom vang block:
1) Attached to the pin in the deck slot.
2) Attached to the strap attached near the bottom of the mast.

I’m re-rigging my boat and have seen both attaching solutions.

Boom vang attaches to the strap at the base of the mast.
