I can't flippin wait to get it out. Won't be untill next weekend. Theres rain in the forecast until middle of the week and it'll be tough getting through the first setup on a weekday evening and still be expected to sail.

I've been told there is a couple of these in Wichita. I don't know any names though.

I drove about an hour east of Toledo, Ohio. It was 730 miles home, I don't know how many it was to get there. I drove through downtown Chicago on the way there. I'd never been through there so I thought I would, also thought that noon would be a fairly decent time to go through. WRONG!!!!! Took 2 hours to get back to open fast moving interstate. Also added a few buck in toll costs. So I took a longer, but shorter route home.

Cool boat Karl! I have been thinking about one of those as well. Yep I have seen 1 of em at the Cheney Resevoir (not sure if that is the proper name for that BROWN Lake) while I am in Wichita each year for recurrent training. Be sure and let us know how she performs. Looks like way fun.

Got a chance to use the new boat this weekend. It's fast. It'll take a while to figure out how to actually run it properly. Running the chute is fun, got to use it Friday, Saturday, and Saturday night. The wind was stronger than my need to die on Sunday so I didn't even try to get it up. The wind was all of 15mph, and I was having a bit of trouble in 5 mph winds so all would have ended badly had I put the chute up. Did capsize once. The previous owner said he had never pitchpoled it. I managed to do it in about 15 min of some good windy sailing. Those bows have a ton of flotation, and I over estimated how well the wave piercing theory actually works. Broke 3 battens getting it righted. The chase boat threw me a line while I was at the mast head so I could get it pointed into the wind. The sail curled funny under the mast while drifting across the lake on its side and I snapped 3 battens.
