Wonderful info, thanks. Your design and tips have helped me immensely.
I ended up using smooth " stainless steel security screws" and nylock nuts. I put the smooth screws on the inside and the nylocks on the outside. The whole assembly is just going to spin if anyone tries to get in.
I think I like your idea better.
I'm used 3/4" lexan instead of plywood. I was able to buy the scraps from a local manufacturing company for a low price.
If I had thought about it I would have used something other than ply. Since polyurethane glue doesn't bond to PVC anyway, it wouldn't matter what I used since I also used screws to attach the ends panels.
A few things I forgot to mention- I will be loosely laying strips (approx 3" wide) of "DriDeck" or similar open-weave vinyl floor mat in the tube to keep the sail off the bottom to provide a channel for water to drain. I also drilled a half inch hole angled backwards in the aft end of the tube to allow for drainage- I have backed the trailer in too far a few times

. I am also going to add some sort of vent holes to allow for air circulation. I don't think I will add a dehumidifier like some have done to their tubes/boxes, since I remove everything from the tube, once I get home.
Are you going to have it done for your trip to Lake Maxinkukee?
