I just bought my 1986 hobie 16 and unfortunately cant find any hobie sailors in my area (hilton head). I have some experience sailing larger monohulls and spent a week sailing a hobie wave but thats about it. I'm not too worried about figuring out how to sail her, im more looking for how to get her all rigged and ready to sail.
Im trying to find a good video that shows how to rig a hobie 16 from standard rigging all the way to the halyards, sails, etc. I ordered catamaran sailing - a step by step guide, but it didnt have the detail i was looking for.
should i just order the manual? will it give me the detail im looking for? or is there a video (i feel like i learn better by seeing) that you all would recommend?
or better yet if theres anyone near hilton head that would like to make a little money/is really generous plus have a couple free rides on a hobie please let me know! as for now im back to reading every old post in the h16 section...
