Hey guys and gals, I am new to hobie cat sailing infact only did it once and now im hooked. Im going to look at a late 70's hobie cat 16 tomorrow and dont really know what all I need to look for before purchasing it. What parts should I look at and for before purchasing it. Thanks for all of ur help before hand and i'll keep you updated and let you know if i get it.

Ask them to rig the boat. Make sure the top of the hulls are not soft just in fromt or the tramp atantions.

No not thats avaible to go check it out with me but thats for the help. Are soft spots a deal breaker?

Soft decks have to be repaired before sailing, so depends how bad they are and how much work you want to do.
