Hey everybody!

Getting near the time to repaint the hulls on "Stars & Stripes", and I have a plan...1st sand gelcoat, acetone wash and vacuum. 2nd primer, sand, primer. 3rd Paint (Interlux Brightside Sprayed on) wet sand, paint, wet sand and paint. Heres the big question. Can I use a final coat of clear coat finnish on her? I have graphics and stripes I want to seal under the clear coat, is that wise? Any help would be most welcome. As usual you all are the best, and have a Hobie day!

Update.........I've had lots of discussions with everyone about painting my hulls. The boat in question is my new (new to me) '88 14 Turbo. The hulls are white and in mint condition, not even any scratches. I was gonna paint them blue and white like the AC yacht "Stars & Stripes" but so far everybody has said that would be a monumental bad idea! So the hulls stay white and get some new pin-striping. Oh yea she has a new name to...Her name is "Rio"....I 'll post pics as the facelift progresses (all new blocks, sheets, and re-anodizing the mast, boom and aluminum hardware). Getting a new sail too, Just gotta decide what type and colors (fat head or classic). Gonna get the new sails from Chip at Whirlwind Sails, he's been super helpful and we have come up with some awesome ideas. Take care and have a Hobie day! :D
