AHOUY. Jim here. This is my first post. I have 1990 18 MAG, love it. I used to race a lot here in Clearwater Florida before kids! Recently I refurbished the entire boat. All new gelcoat, new tramp, new wing covers, powdercoated Xbars, wings, tiller and rudder castings. I also re-surfaced the EPO's. Boat looks new and original, really great looking if I do say so myself. One thing is keeping it from that fast, scarry, be afraid, very afraid look, Hobie will not offer me new EPO stickers/graphics for the rudders. Can not for the life of me figure out why they would turn down this type of free advertising. My only option I can see is to have the local graphics shop try to duplicate them. I need however, a good quality close up picture of the sticker. Can anbody help me out and E-mail me a picture? Or send any other suggestions.

Jim, I have a set of epo 2's and I don't think there is a sticker on them. Mine are the carbon version but I don't remember any stickers or logos on them.

Jim,

Congrats on the re-furb on your Hobie! I am doing the same to my Turbo 14, I notice you had re-powdercoated your Xbar and tiller. Did you do it yourself or have someone do it? I'd love to know 'cause I want to do the same. Also, post some pics of you 18 I'm sure everyone would love to see her! One other thing, I grew up in Tampa and would spend my summers at Indian Rocks Beach, my parents had condo at a place called Tahitian Towers. I don't even know if the place is still there. I learned to sail my first Hobie (a 14) in the gulf. Take care and have a Hobie day!

Sailing off Dunedin Causeway this week, Steve Cliffel was telling me about your boat.
I look forward to seeing it and finding out more of what you did.
Perhaps you might give me some pointers for my old Hobie.

That is not a sticker - its a lam, and its under the surface - it is not something you can buy (well, you could buy new rudders, and then you'd have them! hehe)
