Well.. I complained enough that mother nature finally gave in... 82 and 12kts last night... I had a blast! There must be a regatta in town this weekend as there was a course setup a ways offshore and there must have been 20+ E-scow's out there.

A little googling around.. sure enough.. http://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/ ... ub_class=1

Good thing I didn't go play on their course... they were actually racing last night.

Wind forecast for this weekend! 10 - 15! :D Also an 80% chance for rain. One day soon, I know the sailing gods will smile upon me and give me wind............and sunshine. I patiently await.

The E-Scow looks like it would be seconds of fun!

I can't do it. I tried and I tried, but I just can't do it. Monohull sailing encompasses everything I find boring about sailing. Where's the terror of a pitchpole? Where's the "Dang! That was a close one!" look you and your crew share when barely pulling out of a pitchpole? Where's the "What just happened, and where am I?" feeling after a successful pitchpole? Where's the "Get your a$$ AFT!" command to the crew when on a ferocious beam reach? Where's the uh-oh feeling of capsizing? I can't do a cannon-ball off a capsized monohull. I love having days when I can't wait to get off my boat because it wore me out trying to control the beast. And when a monohull heels I'm still only two feet off the water. Oh, and when a puff hits a monohull it leans first, then goes. You can't tea-bag your crew on a monohull as dramatically. You can't piss off the guys whose girls you just stole by sliding up on a beach and taking the girls for a ride. Sail colors on a monohull? What sail colors?
