There was two guys who sailed a hobie 18 across the entire length of northern canada above the arctic circle in the arctric ocean. They would pull the boat up onto huge floating sheets of ice at night and sleep ontop of the hobie, get back up the next day sail 40 miles, and repeat.
So to answer your question. Get a thick wetsuit booties a hood, and foul weather gear and go for it if its that cold
