I'm a beginner learning to sail on a Wave. However, in the future I envision outgowing the Wave and then would have to decide what to get next. I'm not into racing and often go solo, so not sure if the H16 would be right for me. The FXOne is too expensive and probably too complicated. One posibility I was looking at was a Nacra 450/460. It's about 14'10", and weighs 280lb.

Anyone have experience with that boat?

The problem with importing boats is that the dollar is so weak right now compared to the Euro. You pay 60% more for what could be built here. I'd love to pickup a FXone Carbone, but I don't even want to take a guess as to what it costs.

John- a snuffing spinnaker is easy to use, and it gets easier to rig every time. One advantage if it were roller furling is that it would have to be out of a heavier sail material. It might last more than a season or two, plus depending on how its cut it might work going to weather as well. There is advantages to both. Spinnakers have to much of a stigma though, its not a black art to make it work. If my un-coordinated ass can do it, just about anyone could.
