I sail out of Dana Point every weekend (usually Saturday). I launch my WAVE from Baby Beach. I'll keep an eye out for you.

The water here is now ICE! No more sailing until the end of May. I get mad when the guys from the south (censored) that they have to pull out the weat suits in Dec. Would be nice.

Yeah, David, you know it !
BTW, David, if you ever come down here, you won't be able to launch yours at "Baby Beach", that's "hand launch" only. But there's a nice boat ramp on the south side of the harbor.

Yeah, Sarge, it was Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Sunday was better, though.

Water temp in Pensacola, Florida, right now is 56.8 F, air temp is 48.4 F. You can probably get the temp in your area from the NOAA National Data Buoy Center if you live near the ocean. I don't know if they give the same data for the Great Lakes or not.

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=PCLF1

You can click on each link and get the data for the last five days.

Thanks, Sarge. Stay tuned. It's sort of a hobby of mine to tweak lyrics and quotes. I come up with a new one every week or so.

I looked for you on Saturday. The day was pretty crappy, except for this truly magical 10 minutes:

I was about 3 miles off shore when this pod of about 30 dolphin came upon my boat and just started frolicking around me. They were jumping out of the water, popping up and grinning at me, diving under the boat.

Little juveniles, big mamas... all acting like playful puppies. They hung out and entertined me for a good 10 minutes as I chuckled and hooted at them.

Pretty dawgone magical, that was.
