I live in Ocean Springs, im also an instructor at OSYC, and so far we haven't had any oil wash ashore. We have a race coming up on May 29-30, and we're still ago. We're still planning on having our sailing lessons this summer as of right now. I think the chances of the oil interfering with nationals are slim. Looking at NOAA's trajectories, it doesn't seem like we're going to get a lot of oil. We'll just have to wait and see.

Oil is just as natural as air. It comes from the earth. Just like all the things that come out of humans...some are stinky and black and some are used by plants to thrive.

Oil has been leaking out in oceans for as long as the earth has been around.

It also leaks out into Texas, Saudi Arabia, Oklahoma, Iraq, and everywhere else that has oil below.....that is....everywhere.

Some have already started to ask where the oil is going because the "slick" is shrinking.

The volcanoes that built Hawaii have been dumping oil into the ocean forever.

Just sayin.
