This sums it up.

J, those "tasties" you mentioned were kinda down my alley, but it seemed like there were subdivisions (yea, thats' right- RUSH baby) of different groups into different scenes.
So, maybe the question is-what group did you hang out with?

None really.
We were making money with a guitar band playing classic rock, rock, southern fried rock, country rock...
whatever it took to get the girls dancing. 8)

Sorry, but notice I left out Big Hair Metal.

we considered Eddie Van Halen a "showster" at the time.

Seriously one of their best.

J, you ever had a dejevu that made you stomach turn? That was frightening man.
Surf City, pass the Eye bleach please.

BTW, I was in the school-skipping crowd, trying to score cheap booze and girls. With mixed results.

I was the 'sporto-dirtbag-metal-glam-farm kid-punk'. Worked for me back then. Love all things Rush too, I am just suprised when I was giving Madge a hard time about being Candian, and he didn't know that Rush or William Shatner were countrymen.

2112, moving pictures, and power windows. Great talent. We were huge fans then.
A few other groups then: Scorpions, The Clash, Peter Gabriel, Styx, The Police, and yes REO Speedwagon. And a mini British invasion of pop.

J, I guess you heard "freebird!" screamed at you a few times then.

'80s folks-what was your scene?
