Whew. I was worried I missed the bus or something. :D

Your sitting in a pretty good position. I'm north of the ruhmline (sp), I'm going to lose a bunch of places getting south. I should run into the continent tomorrow night while I'm asleep  Any idea what happens when we get to the checkpoint?

I think we just sit till thursday or friday for the start of the next leg. I'll be finished in the next few hours. My wife will be finishing sometime tomorrow.
Don't hit the continent just aim for the mark. The start should be fun with 57,000 boats in the race.

Totally unrelated to sailing

Any folks with legal background or can send us in the right direction?

A friend arranges to store their friends' "project" car in your barn (no money changes hands, just a favor). You meet the friends friend when they bring out the car, but no contact information is exchanged. Years go by (like five years), the friend dies, you expected to possibly hear from the friends' friend, concerning the vehicle, but no word. Another three years pass, still no contact (and you can't recall the friends' friend's name).

A what point in time does your friends' friend stuff become yours (by virtue of being on your property), or does it?

Check with your Bureau of Motor Vehicles (website?) about "Abandoned Vehicles". If it's like Indiana, you can take possession even without a title, if no one else claims it. You have to get the police to run the VIN for stolen, then put an ad in the paper, I think. Then it's yours to keep or sell.

sometimes you have to file lien paper against the property. Once papers are filed its a waiting game till the limit expires 30 to 60 days then its yours.

9 legs 3 throw outs 8 legs left 60,000 boats now . I rinished in 11,444 leg one. join now and play for fun or to win . All the top 10 got prizes from a tng watch to a vx-40 gear pack. There is even a group of catsailors racing and have their own group.
Caution this game is addictive even my wife made her own boat and playes all day long.

Not to mention that it's blocked at work and I'd end up sailing into a continent.

I played for 30 seconds. I'm too busy blowing the heads off of zombies online.

I just check on my boat a handful of times through out the day. Its not a game where you play it non stop. Check and adjust every few hours. I probably spend a couple of minutes at best each time I check on it.

Yea, I am with Jragg, killing everything that moves is a bit more fun than that sailing thing.
My kid and like Halo and Call to Duty games. Everyone dies.

Give the Left 4 Dead demo a shot (xbox and PC). The demo expires on November 18th. You can do a 4-player co-op on that. Also, don't play the single player. Just do the online portion, it's significantly better.

No online stuff for us, my son is a bit obsessive so I let him play the discs and I'll play 2 player with him here and there. He discusses ways to mount a 50 cal on the back of my Amigo and it would then be exactly like a Warthog.

Similar to an interview in the November 3, 2008 issue of the New Yorker with the creator of Gears of War 2, Cliff Bleszinski where he said, "Kill anyone who doesn't look like you. Our foreign policy."
