I just found out about the International Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System (SCHRS). http://www.schrs.com/index.php
I was wondering if anyone has raced under these provisions? Did it work out fairly well? Were there a bunch of babies crying on thier
trampolines :( ?

(seems cat sailors can be the biggest bunch of cry babies) hahaha

I often wondered if anyone has considered organizing a multihull race in Barnegat Bay, NJ. If anyone has or is let me know. I can't find any local events dispite a decent amount of boats.

I would agree but cat racers would be more accurate

There is a lot of Hobie racing in Barnegat Bay. See the Division 11 web site at http://www.div11.hobieclass.com/. If you have questions let me know.

Do you race there? If so do you ever race in the upper bay? I saw one
regatta off of Island Beach State Park last summer.

Yes I do race on Barnegat Bay. We typically have three - four regattas there a year. We go to Spray Beach YC, Shore Acres YC and also Trixie's Marina in Bayville. Trixie's is right near Island Beach State Park so that is probably the one you saw.

Details on all three are on that web site, come out and join us.
