Wait a minute... a Wave is going to do the ditch? That is pretty incredible!

I'll be chasing the F18 fleet up the Delta in the Hobie Skiff at the request of several of the guys.. I'll monitor channel 16 and coms will be on 68.

I'm crewing on my neighbor's Olsen 30, so save a beer for me at the finish, if you can hold out that long.

If there is wind we may be out of beer, packed up, and gone by the time you see the finish line on an O-30

Jeremy, I am excited that you are our chase boat for this event. Got to document this event! Hope you bring a waterproof camera. If you do not have one get one from me before you launch. I will have mine in the car, it is old but still better than nothing. Actually I think I have to get a GPS. Everyone who has done this race says it is easy but if you look at the fly over I made it seems like you could take a wrong turn.

Later,
Dan

Charles sailing with Greg Thomas, hmmmmmm. My understanding is that they will be switching positions occasionally so...we may follow them with Greg at the helm, but there is the Charles factor to consider.

He has called me looking for sympathy that he is new on the boat and not to expect too much. There will be none of that coming from me. First of all I am sailing crippled (knee surgery), secondly he has been and most likely still is a heck of a good sailor, thirdly he is with 2 time Formula 18 National Champion Greg Thomas for gosh sake! What kind of love do you want me to give him????

Nothing but fun,
Dan
