Hobie Getaway Stored Mast Up

This is not necessarily a Getaway question. We're storing our cat in a boatyard in Alameda on the Estuary, with the mast up. I've been trying to figure a way to rig the boat so we can put the jib sail cover on and off without dropping the mast to get the zipper to the top or getting to the zipper at the top, which is out of reach, ten feet above the forward trampoline. Any ideas/suggestions/pics/diagrams, etc.?

Ah! very easy!
attach the halyard shackle to the hole on the jib cover, and hoist the halyard while zipping the zipper.

Add a second halyard. You can either add a turning block to the mast or to the mast tang. Small cheap line will do as you are only hoisting the cover with this.

You really don't need a second halyard. The main halyard does the job fine.

Yep, we have always used the main halyard for this. No need for another line.

Thanks guys! I knew I saw that solution several years ago. I guess that's probably why there's a grommet in the jib cover.
