Sailing the San Juan Island in Washington

I am headed to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands for a family camping excursion and was wondering if anyone sails or has sailed the area. Also any recommendations or advice about sailing the area would be appreciated.

Darn I wish I could join you. My boat was initially from Friday Harbor and was purchased to sail around the San Juans. The orginal owner was lost at sea on a fishing trip and thus the reason his dad sold the boat 15-years later barely sailed. I needed to talk with his dad to transfer the title to me since the previous owner in Oregon never transfered title. I would like to here about your trip when you return. I live in North Bend.
