After 16 years of not having a Hobie I am Jazzed to once more a proud Hobie Cat Owner. Last boat was a Hobie 20, L@@ked at my options and went for a H16 yeah I know I am older and fatter but it looks like the boat with the most racers. Plus I love the 16 for all out fun. With two teen age kids this is going to be one great summer.. Oh and the wife unit gave me the OKAY after begging for 16 years LOL .

Lake Arrowhead this weekend!! Oh yeah sail number is 434..

Smooth Sailing,
Karlton

Either:

- custom sail number

- mylar sail (mylar sails re-started sail numbers)

Custom number to match the fleet number. I started fleet 434 in like 78 or 79 with a few other sailors. Yeah I am that old.

Surf City Catamaran delivered it today, he doinked the trailer.. He is ordering me a new crossbar hahaha.. Rookie...

I beat that trailer alright, the front crossbar taco'd. There was a hidden stump in some tall grass and you guess the rest. Could've been waaaay worse. I thought I had hit the boat, but there wasn't even a scratch. 1000 miles, 2 days, my tiny man got to visit his grandparents, and its all good. 3am right now, beat! Be looking for your new crossbar. Sorry bout that.

Older and Fatter?
Been there, done that. I am 52... 5'10"...and at my peak I was up to 235 lbs.

But now, you are cat sailing again.

At the last office Christmas party, one of the ladies told me that for the last two years, I have been getting younger. Funny, that coincides with EXACTLY how long I've been sailing my WAVE.

Now, I'm 178 lbs. and actually have abs from all that hiking out! Not all the 55 lbs. that I lost is from sailing, but the muscle toning is. What a great fun way to get/stay in shape !!!! Welcome back and she's a beaut !

Had to share this one my nephew took of me yesterday.
I like the juxtaposition of the Oil barge (dirty energy) and the simple and beautiful Hobie (clean).

It's like: Energy: What are you thinking??? Open your eyes just a little bit, huh??

Looks nice - you gotta love a new boat!!!! Congrats.

BTW: You could use two accessories - a trailer storage box, and rudder covers!
