I am thinking of purchasing a Hobie 14 that has a jib but not the "Turbo rigging". Can someone tell me how difficult/expensive it would be to add the rigging to fly a jib on a Hobie 14?

Thank you.

Phil

It depends on what the jib dimensions are - whether it sheets to the stock Turbo location in the tramp or to the front crossbar, like the 16.

It also depends on whether your jib has a luff wire or has a zipper front - you'll probably need to get shorter bridles and a longer forestay at a minimum.

In any event, you'd need the sheets, cleats and some way to mount them.
