I'm a newbie hobie cat sailor and I'm wondering if anyone has seen the DVD Catamaran Sailing: A Step by Step Guide and if it's a good introduction to setting up, sailing, and taking care of your cat?

Does anyone have a copy they'd be willing to sell?

Thanks!
Bloome

I have never seen it, but it sounds good.

I googled and found it https://store.catsailor.com/pc/viewPrd. ... tegory=178
Amazon had it but it is currently unavailable.

If its the Rick white Hobie one I have it and it's definately worth it for the money.

I've been sailing cats for over 20 years, and teaching cat sailing at our club for more than 10....when my wife bought me a birthday gift of the Rick White DVD about 5 years ago, I found I had to re-learn my cat sailing all over again.

The chapter on tacking, for example, I watched over 20 times before I saw 'all the little things' that add up to a perfect tack. (Keep the wind flowing over the jib at all times, proper weight transfer, etc).

Buy it now, it's a keeper. View it more and more as your skills grow, you'll get more and more out of the DVD, and then in turn, you can share the knowledge with others.

Happy learning, I'm off the club this afternoon to do some more self education on my H18SC.
Then on Saturday, we leave for 10 days on a Sunsail 38 in the BVI's....always something new to learn.
