I live in Palm Beach. Looking to trailer H16 to fort laud beachfor a day. Is anyone familiar with the beach launching area there? Is it user friendly? Are the hobie people friendly there? Hows the parking? Any fees to use the beach ramp? Any body want to meet up to sail? Do I ask too many questions? HeHe! Seriously if anybody has info please let me know. Thanks, Jeff

Try the local Hobie Fleet, they used to have (friendly) races at the south end of the beach on Sundays. The local fleet are quite active. They can help. Or try Hank or Jon at Nautical Ventures, the local Hobie dealer, Griffin at I95, but you probably know them.

From what I remember, there is an (designed) opening in the wall between the sidewalk and the beach, at the south end, where you can back in your vehicle and trailer. Opposite a restaurant, then you unload the Hobie, take the sail out of the toybox etc, and drive your vehicle and trailer about 100 yards away to the municipal parking lot.

Come back to the beach, rig your boat, wheel it down to the surf and go.
There also used to be a rental guy there, mostly Waves.

Another suggestion is to go to the south end of the Delray Beach, next to Chuck's Water Sports, we've always had fun there, a great beach to sail out of.
At the north end, you'll find the 'privateers and pirates', ask for Elias, but no place to park.

Anyone else have more up to date information? Good luck.
