I live in Toronto, and sail my Adventure Island from Etobicoke as often as I can, but I'd love to go out on a Hobie 16 or other sailboat sometime. Other then sailing my AI, I haven't got any sailing experience, so you might have to teach me a few things, and I certainly haven't got all of the sailing terms memorized yet, but I'm 160 pounds of focused enthusiasm, and I'd love to see what it's like to go out on a real Cat.
I'd also be interested in going out on a Wave, Getaway, or other Catamaran, as I'd like to see what they're like, and I'm sure that I could learn things from being out on those types of boats.
I can see myself moving to a Wave someday, but the only reason I like it so much is because it seems quite easy to set up, and not much more difficult to sail then my AI.
So if you're looking for a crew with his own wetsuit, and a willingness to learn, let me know.
I tend to hang out in the Adventure Island forums and won't be checking this beyond the next few days. But if you want to send me a personal message, I'm usually on these forums several times a week.
(Oh, and... don't worry, I'm not looking to go out this week or anything... a minus 25 windchill is a bit too crazy for even me.)
Happy sailing!
