Hi All,

I am a downtown Chicago resident considering a Hobie. I have not owned a boat in the city and would like advice re: storage/docking costs from my fellow Chicagoans. I am open to any harbor; I do not own a car so trailering from my own storage is not an option. Harbor rates listed on Chicago's site appear to start at 25'-30' with associated fees. Can anyone advise on the options and costs of storing a Hobie at one of Chicago's harbors?

Thanks for any help!

Check Northwestern - I think they offer storage for small boats at a reasonable price. I know that they rent out Hobies to the public if you can't find anywhere to store your own boat.

I used to sail with a team out of Belmont harbor; I know that they had storage for smaller boats, but I have no idea about the price. I do not recall ever seeing a cat there.
