OK, off topic I know, but isn't flying a Hobie Hawk kinda horizontal sailing??!

I've been running the HobieHawk.com website for about 10 years. For those who don't know, the Hobie Hawk was a plane designed by Hobie in the mid 70's that was far ahead of it's time. It (in my opinion) is still one of the most beautiful planes ever crafted.

Anyway, a group of die-hard Hobie Hawk flyers, including Bob Martin who produced the Hawk after Hobie Cat Co, will be getting together for a little fun Hobie Hawk fly-in.

It will be held June 3,4 and 5, 2011 at the Torrey Pines r/c flight area and it looks like the Torrey Pines Gulls will be getting involved as well.

Just a little interesting tid-bit of the continued Hobie way of life! If you are in the area, stop on by and check it out.

I will update this thread as any more info becomes available.

Cheers,

Brian
