The neoprene on the rails of my 18 is old and tattered, so I'm considering replacing it. How do I get the old stuff off?

I pull it off as best I can and then remove the residue with 3m glue and wax remover. Clean with alcohol and then reapply contact cement. Can use a razor blade but be careful.

3M makes an adhesive remover. I've had very good results with Oops. I found it at Ace Hardware.

Matt:

What is the best to glue black thin non skid to Sunrise mesh tramp wings. I have tried contact cement and 3M Adhesive. My only other thought is taking wings apart and taking he to a sailmaker to remove stitching, stitch it on and restitch seam. Any thoughts?

Doug
