Many years ago when I was a kid Hobie had a campaign to eliminate overhead power lines near boat launching areas and ramps. I hadn’t had a trailer boat for 15+ years, and recently got a used HC-18. The very first time I use it, I when to a local fresh water lake, (Union Lake, NJ) and there at the boat ramp is overhead power lines between the parking area and the ramp. Is there still a way to report overhead power line hazards near boat launching areas, and any campaigns to have them removed?

Go ahead and report that to the marina, local power company and send us an email at [email protected]

Not sure if there is an official program we can run this through any longer.

since your in southern New Jersey...
years ago, the public bayside ramp in Beach Haven on LBI had a power line running perpendicular to the ramp. you'd have to make a hard left turn coming up the ramp to avoid fireworks.

not sure if they ever moved it.
