I bought a 1998 hobie 17 last fall, but had to leave it at sailing club where previous owner failed to secure it properly, altho he assured me there would be no probem, cat was blown over and broke the tip anyone have one thanx bob russell

I found one for my hobie 16 on craigslist for 200. When I spoke to her she also said that she has a new hobie 17 comp tip as well. I guess they closed a hibie store and the comp tips were the last things they had in storage. The one I got was brand new still in packaging. I will message you her email address.
