I'm updating my trap rigs. A few years back I installed the deluxe adjustable for the skipper wires, using the Harken 244. Hobie's double adjustable seems to use the ClamCleat trapeze adjuster, but the same catalog sells the 244 for individual sale. Both give a 3:1 purchase when adjusting.

I can buy either. My fairly small experience with the 244 is that it can take a pretty hard pull to disengage the line from the V-jam cleat, and I suspect the ClamCleat would be easier that way. Real-world experiences?
