hi I've had my boat since a week before xmas 2005 and haven't really sailed it much because of the lake i use it on. i live in the uk in hertfordshire and during the winter it is home and the summer it is on the south coast so i can sail in the solent. :D
the last time i sailed it i pitchpoled it with a mate :!acciently :! and my mate is now hooked. and wants to have part ownership with a hobie with me but unsure whether to keep the 14 and play with or change boat

I started in cat sailing on my Hobie 14. She was a great little boat and yes they like to pitchpoll. If you like the boat and it is enough to you, then don't move up. But if you feel limited by the boat then look for something bigger. I mean the 16, is almost the same boat with more floatation and you can get them cheap.

Anyway you go you will have fun. Just remember watch those Bows!
