Winter boredom is setting in... put together a short recap and some new scenes from my 2015 sailing season. Let me know what you think...

Excellent! Thanks for the video. I just walked the dog around the block. It's -3 F. The river is solid ice. Your video is a reminder that soft water will come again!

Are you on the Gulf Coast? When does sailing season start? I'm thinking of a late winter trip in March or April outta here to somewhere sailable, and take Firefly (my Getaway) somewhere warm.

Where are you at dorienc? I live in Northern Alabama (Madison/Huntsville), and primarily sail on the various Tennessee River lakes, namely Guntersville, Wheeler, and Pickwick. I usually make 2-3 trips to the Florida gulf: Panama City Beach, Pensacola, Destin/FWB. I'd like to check out Ocean Springs, MS this year too. My first trip right now is planned for March 11-14 at St. Andrew's State Park in Panama City Beach.

What do you do with your boat between sailing sessions, when you travel? I'd be nervous about keeping it in a hotel parking lot.

I've left the boat on the trailer overnight in several hotel parking lots and never had a problem. I usually try to park it out of the main view of passers by, and out of the way of hotel guests. I keep the sail box locked and a lock on the trailer tongue.

Hey, Great Video...

If you can excuse stupid questions... How did you embed the video? I have uploaded the YouTube link, but I like the way you framed it in the forum...

Hey Harry, it's really easy... you just get the video id from youtube... the part of the url after "www.youtube.com/watch?v=" and put it between the "youtube2" tag from the formatting menu. So for example, with this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3WqZxQYyto) it would be like this...
Code:
[youtube2]_3WqZxQYyto[/youtube2]

And here's the video:

....and, for those of us with Ad Block; just right-click on the AdBlock tab at the top or bottom of the "video frame" (that we can't see) and then click "open in new tab".... wa-la! Nice video. Looks like the weight could have been a bit further aft for that wave set. lol. Fun stuff!
