The three (black, dark gray, light gray) pin stripes on my H16 are starting to get a little faded and I would like to replace them with different colored ones from the sail pattern. Here is my plan:
Rather than go through the hassle of peeling off the stripes and carefully aligning and applying new ones, I thought as a temporary measure to test new stripe colors, I would just mask the hull and paint the stripes with rattle can paint in my new color scheme. If it wears or peels off, fades after a few years, or I don't like the colors, I can still peel the (painted) stripes off. I just need to make sure the paint doesn't lift the stripes.
