Hi,

I just moved from Florida to North Carolina. One thing they don't have as much of up here is wind, so now I need to setup my Getaway for light wind condition.

My main question is, should I rake the mast or not?

I'm aware of the benefits of a raked mast in stronger winds. But in lighter wind when pitchpoling is a problem, is the sail more efficient with a straight mast?

I have been sailing with a raked mast for a while. But now when I don't have much wind and pitchpoling is a non issue should a go back to a straight mast?

Any other light wind setup tips are appreciated.

Rake is good in all conditions as the boat would point higher. The boat would be a little more powerful with the mast more upright.
