I came across a boat i def wanna buy in Long Island and it comes with a trailer but its really rusty and it def looks like it might come apart after checking the U-bolts. The wheels also have questionable integrity and at highway speeds i think the rusted in bolts could rip through.

That said i think i could get him down another $100-200 to $600 on a really solid hobie 18sx and if i can get it back to my home i don't mind waiting on a trailer to pop up, I have the winter.

Is their anyone who might be able to help me out or have any ideas.

Jim

IF you were near me I would loan you mine in a second, surely some buddy of yours has a flat bed trailor, that and a few blankets could get the job done.

Rent or borrow a car trailer and take it all home. You may be able to fix that trailer up or at least use some parts from it.

CONGRADULATIONS on the decision to purchase! I imagine thats the one in your earlier post?

Disassemble the boat and move it in pieces. Tow the trailer empty. The trailer can surely be rebuilt for less than a new or used one. The SX main will blow up so consider replacing it right away. Rudder cams and comptips are available new from Hobie. Tips can also be found used.
