Twas the night before christmass and out
by the water, the sailors were ready from dads to
their daughters.With mom on a kayak and dad by his
cat we had just rigged the boat for a long winters
trap.
When out on the lake there arrose such a
noise, i saw a wind line coming and yelled lets go
boys. then what to my wondering eyes should appear
but a double trapped tiger, and a bravo in the
rear.
From starboard to port the hobies did fly,
with screams of delight from every girl and guy.
the water was cold but our suits we did wear, now
im under the spin with out a care.
Now the pendants are up and we all want to
race, christmass on the water is there a better
place? up on the tack down on the run, now thats
my idea of some cold weather fun.
But now its time to go home, put the hobie
to bed, im cold and tired my nose bright red. but
you'll hear me exclaim as i ride out of site
"HOBIE" christmass to all, and to all good night.
