Just got back from vacation in Maryland/DC... Had 4 days of great sailing on a brand new Tartan 4300... I know, it's a mono... forgive me... it was a great vacation though.

Saw a couple of hobies out there... here is the hobie content:

And me:

Lots of sailboats out on the Chesapeake last weekend:

Was cool to actually outnumber the power boats! Man... my uncles' new 43' is crazy nice!! 2 full heads on the boat with showers! 2 cabins plus 2 couches that convert to beds too.... can easily sleep 7 adults on that without anybody hitting the floor or tripling up. Oh.. and an auto-tacking 100% jib makes tacking a one handed job, spin the helm and the sails move... golden. Don't even need to set your beer down..

It's nice... but its no match for hobie speed and exhiliration! But it surely is a "go somewhere" and "stay on the boat" type of boat.

Just thought I'd share.. only saw a few cats out there.. but here is my full gallery:

Nice pics! Love the depth of field on the one with the sand toys in the foreground! I was at the helm most of the trip, so I didn't have much time to get artsy. :)
