I use the Eurotrax beach wheels and am having a devil of a time keeping the plastic hubs which hold the wheels in place to stay in one place. It seems after every use they need to be pressed back against the wheel. What's going on?

Crank down on that allen screw! I've never had mine move at all, about 2 years old now.

Crank down on the screw I did, and you know what? I broke the plastic piece which holds the securing nut in place. Now there's no way the hub can be tightened. What a piece of #$%. (OK, so maybe I'm a bit of a hack.)

Are replacement hubs still available? Would a piece of inner tube work between the axel and hub keep the hubs from slipping?

You can try drilling a small hole through the axel and putting a washer and cotter key on each side of the hub. the washer holds the hub hicely and the key holds the washer. 4 holes 4 washers 4 cotters never worry again. My hubs are cracked too, and i had to drill the center connection piecs and run stainless bolts all the way through instead of the allen keepers. but my wheels are from the worlds in santa barbara. not all that old
