After a beautiful sailing day a huge asshole has destroyed the tires of my cattrax.
So I have to replace them as fast as possible, to get back on the lake.

What dimension are the tires? I have the small ones (not the sand edition), which have an innertube.
Are the tires Hobie specific or are they common and can be found in normal shops (no Hobie dealer here)?
Any difficulties to replace them, just read in the forum, that it's not funny to do that, but I assume that weren't the same tires.

Thank you
Chris

Didn't some of those cat trax use what are the same tires used on early Honda ATC 90 three wheelers? There is one on ebay right now, it is like this?

A possible solution would be to measure the diameter of the axle or spindle they are mounted on. You can get complete wheels & tires at places like Harbor Freight, hardware stores, etc. Just need to be careful so the bearings can be used in water and weight rating.

Try this.

Most of the "cat trax" tires only fit the type of Cat trax they are designed for. You can get the tires direct from the manufacture. What type do you have there are several different brands(picture would be nice). Florida sail craft makes a lot of them here is the link. http://www.floridasailcraft.com/index.htm

Thank you for the answers.

Problem is that we have only one hobie cat dealer in Switzerland, and he is 300 km away from where I am, so he would have to send the parts.

I planned to buy new tires tomorrow (early) and then go sailing.

Damn, these stupid people out there make me sick, not the first time somebody damaged something.

Chris
