I have a cherry 1977 H-16 with a good trailer. However, the trailer only has 4 rollers (each side, fore and aft) which the hulls then rest upon. When I stand on the tramp, while on the trailer, and raise the mast, I sometimes worry about the amount of weight I'm putting on those four points. They are the traditional hard rubber rollers. Am I being crazy? I've seen trailers that have semi-articulating black rubber rollers that are working in tandem. They load-up in pairs so the overall load is displayed by 8 wheels instead of the traditional four. I have no visible distortion of the hull, but I'm still concerned. I know the asymmetric hull works best with rollers, not cradles like the Tiger or H-18.

Anyone else ever seen these tandem roller set ups that actually 'teeter' or rock back and forth?

Thanks fellow flyers, bones.

The four rubber rollers are perfectly fine for a Hobie 16.

The tandem rollers are overkill. They're more for a boat with round bottoms, like a 17, 18 20 or Tiger.

I worry about it as well especially because to make mine fit in the garage the entire hobie actually sits on only 2 rollers because it's so far forward on the trailer.
