I've read on one of the forums to use blue Loctite on the mast set screws. Loctite's web site says not to use Blue 242, Green 290 or Red 271 Threadlocker on plastic. Is there another Loctite Blue that is safe for plastics?

I've used both the blue 242 and 243 for the mast set screws without any adverse effects. Locktite swells when it dries and can crack some plastics but evidently not nylon. I have also had excellent results with Loctite Marine Epoxy on the mast where it slips into the sprocket.

The two together make a durable combination. Even this will eventually work loose, but not for a long time! 8)
