So, I finally got the TI out on the water for more than a couple of hours. We spent about 7 hours Sunday sailing on the bay! We launched from Bayfront Homestead. The plan was to go to Elloitt Key, but we noticed that the rudder control arm was cracked… So, after some deliberation we decided to stay closer to shore. We sailed with a kite surfer for about an hour. After that we pulled in the sail, pulled up the centerboard and the rudder and just drifted. We made to almost all the way to Black Point. The water gets shallow that way! So, after walking the boat back out to deeper water we sailed back home. On the way we sailed for a bit with some sailboarders. All in all a good day. After trying the drifting thing I cannot wait to do it again with a fishing rod!

Hi Keith--good to see you have your TI.

You should sign in on the Florida AI/TI owners thread: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=8187

See you on water...

Keith

Keith--regarding posting pictures,
1. You need to sign up on a picture hosting site. Many people use photobucket http://photobucket.com/

2. Upload the pictures you want to photobucket.

3. On photobucket, logged in, and with your pictures displayed, run your cursor over a picture and a menu will pop up below the picture.

4. Slide your cursor down to the second box, left-click your mouse. It will say "copied." That is the link you need to paste into your Hobie forum post.

5. Go to your Hobie forum post, paste the link in, high-light the link, and click on the "Img" button at the top of the post.

I think that will do it. If you have problems, let us know.

Keith

Alright, so here goes:

Image

This is Alyssa and the Kite surfer. She thought we were fast until she saw him. I was jealous until I realized that he had no place to store his beer.

Here she is with the sailboarders in the bakcground.

This turned out being her favorite seat.

Here was her second favorite

I got "stuck" doing all the sailing.

Keith, we will have to get together some time and do some sailing!

Note to self; If you see a bird standing on the ground in the water 15 ft from you, it may be a bit shallow...
